Project Estimator

This position will work closely with engineers, project managers, sales team, production staff and customers to collect and analyze data to estimate the cost of a project. The Estimator must be detail oriented and possess high attention to detail along with excellent communication skills.

• Finance and Management - to solve customer’s material hardware take off discrepancies or additional requests, and continuously improve our processes and procedures
• Participate in weekly meetings to coordinate with design, purchasing and estimating to move projects forward and set priorities for shipments
• Salespeople - to timely deliver quotes and close jobs
• Organize, coordinate and track job quotes with sales team
• Design department - to resolve hardware questions
• Enter takeoff data and distribute estimates to customers (i.e., contractors)
• Creating and updating spreadsheets, forms and reports
• Complete structural material takeoffs on Multi-Family Unit, Wood Framed Projects, for use in quotes and in production

• Construction Industry and estimating experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with particular emphasis on Excel
• Higher Education (4-year degree preferred).
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Familiarity with PlanSwift or other estimating software
• Must be able to read and comprehend Structural and Architectural Plans
• Energetic personality and a take charge attitude

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00/hr., depending upon experience
