This individual will be expected to independently execute architectural investigations of existing buildings and to identify and possibly design remedial repairs for deficient conditions. The investigations include assessment of building code deficiencies, of fire-rated assemblies, of building envelope (including roofs and facades), and cause and origin analysis. The candidate will be required to provide direction to, and review the work product of, junior level staff; coordinate with other project managers on interdisciplinary efforts; support business development efforts; and develop and maintain client relationships.
- Complete technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings.
- Observe, document, and review testing protocols and related materials, including documentation for litigation support.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements, memorialize findings in reports, and prepare materials for presentations.
- Potentially testify in arbitration, deposition, or trial.
- Independently conduct assessments of building envelopes, fire-rated construction, and other architectural elements, including cause and origin investigations.
- Analyze building codes, industry standards, and construction documents; design repairs for defective construction.
- Manage, mentor, and perform peer reviews of junior staff, including drafting construction documents and condition assessments with order-of-magnitude cost estimating.

- Degree (Master’s preferred) in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, experience with Revit a plus.
