Provide peer reviews of other engineer’s work
Carry out seismic analysis, seismic design, and seismic performance assessment
Attend meetings and prepare presentations when required
Lead structural engineering design and analysis for marine infrastructure such as deep foundations, piers, harbour walls, bulkheads, retaining walls, and cofferdams
Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes
Prepare bid documentation for project pursuits
Reviewing & responding to submittals (RFI’s, Shop Drawings, etc…) during CA phase of projects
Perform QA/QC activities
Develop reports, drawings, and specifications
Provide direction to, and work with, Engineering & CAD staff

Knowledge of 3D BIM is an asset such as REVIT & Navisworks
Proficiency and understanding of structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, SAP2000 is expected
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in structural design
Effective communication in the English language (verbal and written)
and will be expected to demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the team
Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele - Internal and External
Excellent work ethic and desire to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset
Registered P. Eng
Knowledge and understanding of Canadian design standards and codes
Knowledge of US codes and standards is an asset
Ability to lead teams consisting of multiple engineers and CAD staff
Strong project management and coordination skills with a strong ability to lead the structural design of projects. You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment
Coordination with other design disciplines (Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, etc…)
Experience with Microsoft Office and software such as Bluebeam is expected
