  • Prepare specifications and data sheets for Mechanical Packages including two/three phase separators, slug catcher, gas dehydration and regeneration package, Dew Point Control package, Produced Water Treatment package, Chemical injection package, Mercury Removal package, Flare package, Diesel Generators, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
  • Provide inputs to weight control report for weights of equipment and packages including final as weighed weights from vendors.
  • Act as the overall package Engineer for all Mechanical packages mentioned above including collecting inputs from other disciplines such as Process, Instrumentation, Piping, Structural, Electrical, Safety & Loss prevention etc to ensure all aspects of the package are incorporated in the RFQ, TBE and Vendor data.
  • Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner.
  • Develop FAT and SAT procedures for Mechanical packages.
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
  • To provide definition of the Mechanical – Static engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience.
  • Ensure all documentation within the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved in accordance with the Working Instructions for that project.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
  • Supervision of technical detail, budget and schedule of Mechanical design in Project work, where requested by the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
  • Prepare RFQ’s, Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Data Review of the above mechanical packages.
  • To liaise with the equivalent client focal point on technical and engineering matters.
  • Prepare Inspection and Test Plans for all packages.
  • To plan manhour budgets and schedules for all Projects within the focal point area of responsibility.

  • Capable of producing Equipment List for all Mechanical Equipment and packages on topsides.
  • To clearly understand the International Codes, Standards and Local Regulations applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary.
