The Senior Health & Safety Business Partner will lead HSE activities for one or more Gulf Coast locations, applying the global Health & Safety Management System, managing hazards and risk, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
The role promotes a strong safety culture by fostering positive employee relations, disseminating SGS health and safety standards, and educating managers and staff through communication programs, one‑on‑one consultations, and regional training plans.
Key duties include developing and maintaining policies that meet regulatory requirements, participating in facility design and work‑procedure development, conducting audits and inspections, and acting as the company representative during government investigations.
The partner will also manage incident investigations, compensation cases, emergency response and business continuity planning, and provide technical HSE expertise for capital projects, permit‑to‑work systems, and risk‑assessment processes.
Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, at least 10 years of progressive HSE experience in medium or large industrial environments, and certifications such as CRSP, CSP, IOSH or NEBOSH. Strong leadership, communication, bilingual (if Quebec) and proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Oracle and web‑based tools are essential.
The position involves regular travel to client or project sites, typically 1–2 overnight trips per month, and requires the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
