Tasks

-Collaborate with plant management to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. -Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of operating engineers and maintenance staff. -Ensure compliance with all TSSA and safety regulations. -Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to boiler, refrigeration, and air systems. -Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. -Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of the plant’s utility systems, including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and compressed air systems. -Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and reports.

Our client, a leading global consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer, is seeking a Chief Engineer (2nd Class) to oversee daily plant operations and ensure safe, efficient performance of all utilities and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise with ammonia and boiler systems, and a valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer License. -Strong knowledge of safety regulations, maintenance practices, and TSSA standards. -Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. -Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer License -Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a plant or utilities setting. -Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration, boiler operations, and compressed air systems. -3–5 years of experience as a 2nd Class Operating Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
