Assist the T&D Data Center Market Leader with the coordination between T&D and GFS engineering teams as required.
Lead the coordination with and monitor the progress of engineering deliverables created by business line engineering teams.
Effectively utilize CRM to document client relationships, track business opportunities, track soft backlog, and initiate contract reviews.
Assist the PDO and other engineering teams to develop and improve processes and tools to improve efficiencies including standard drawings/bid documents, and proposal templates that improve our ability to increase market capture.
On behalf of T&D and the South Central Region PDO, lead the project development cycle for all assigned our self-identified opportunities.
Lead and/or support new business deals by coordinating requirements; develop proposals, developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Lead the development of marketing efforts and oversee the effective implementation of client development and client maintenance strategies.
Provide and/or support the overall market development strategy while providing leadership for existing and new business opportunities with both traditional and non-traditional clients.
Provide traditional Business Development support for assigned clients.
Lead the handoff process between the PDO and the business line engineering teams as the project progresses from development to execution.
Provide direction and leadership for furthering Burns & McDonnell’s position in the industry through industry events, conferences, and contacts.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with other regions or global practices regarding project development efforts.

Excellent facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum and 7 years of professional experience is required.
Successful track record of leading business development and client account management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and able to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage.
Capable of devising new approaches to solve complex problems.
Three (3) years of experience in utility consulting or business development. Experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry and/or A/E/C industry preferred.
Three (3) years in developing strategies to respond to client needs in a business and consulting role.
Excellent planning and analytical skills.
Previous experience developing sales, business development and/or pursuit strategies and plans.
