As a Senior MEP Systems Manager you will play a key role in delivering projects from start to finish, leveraging your expertise to ensure successful completion. You will oversee all MEP elements—including low‑voltage, security, fire‑protection, controls and other critical systems—through submittal, installation, testing and close‑out, enabling clients to thrive.
The position is highly active and hands‑on. You will spend much of your time on job sites navigating uneven terrain, stairs, ladders and hoists, lifting materials up to 25 lb (occasionally 50 lb), and performing inspections that require strong visual acuity. Desk work includes reviewing documents, computer tasks and meetings, which may involve prolonged sitting.
- Analyze contract documents for constructability, code compliance, and functionality.
- Lead MEP trade 3D coordination meetings and oversee drawing submittal approvals.
- Guide and monitor MEP trade coordination and installation on site.
- Manage MEP trade material submittals, tracking, and procurement documentation.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain the MEP schedule with the field supervision team.
- Review field installation and manage testing and commissioning efforts.
- Review and advise on MEP requisitions and contract changes.
- Handle MEP close‑out document delivery.
- Encourage staff training and development.
- Review labor rates and NECA factors for proposals and change orders.
- Provide leadership fostering diversity, inclusion, and safety.
- Build relationships with industry professionals to generate new work.
- Recruit, hire, and retain top industry talent.

You will work primarily on active construction sites, adapting to varying weather conditions, moderate to loud noise, and confined or elevated areas with moving equipment. You will also operate in a typical office setting with moderate noise, and must follow Clark Construction’s safety policies and all applicable regulations.
- Undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection/life safety engineering, construction management, or related field, OR 15+ years relevant experience.
- 10+ years construction experience managing MEP trades, preferably with a general contractor.
- Proven leadership in MEP design review, drawing supervision, submittal review, field inspections, testing & commissioning.
- Experience on large‑scale construction projects.
- Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and engage diverse talent.
- Ability to mitigate risk and reduce change‑order exposure.
- Adaptable to changes across construction phases.
- Preferred: OSHA 10 certification.
- Preferred: Experience with P6 and Procore.
