The role involves creating and maintaining organized medical records, files, logs, and related documents while adhering to corporate retention and security procedures. It also requires managing clinic supply inventories, monitoring referral transfers, and assisting with routine medical and dental reporting. The clerk must read and interpret medical instructions, policies, and related forms.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, have at least two years of comparable experience, and be at least 21 years old. Additional education or specialized training can substitute for experience, and a valid driver’s license is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel (or Lotus 1-2-3), and other PC applications is also desired.
