Senior Building Envelope Consultant – NYC | Façade + Curtain Wall

You’ll work directly with top-tier clients, lead envelope assessments on complex buildings, and play a key role in shaping technical project outcomes.

• Participate in client meetings and support team growth in the NYC office
• Work on complex, high-visibility projects across New York City
• Investigate existing buildings and lead field testing (glazing, roofing, cladding)
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, ownership teams, and contractors
• Review drawings/specs with a focus on façade detailing and envelope performance
• Draft reports with technical clarity and client-facing professionalism
• Oversee construction-phase QA/QC including submittals, RFIs, and site visits

• 5+ years in building envelope consulting or architectural façade work
• Familiarity with NYC façade codes (Local Laws 11, 126, 97) a strong plus
• Skilled in reading and marking up drawings (AutoCAD, Bluebeam)
• Certifications in façade inspection or envelope diagnostics
• Strong grasp of air/water barriers, sealants, insulation, and thermal design
• Deep knowledge of curtain wall, window, and cladding systems
• Experience writing FISP reports
• Comfortable on active construction sites and open to some regional travel
