Perform design calculations and analysis such as grounding system analysis, lightning protection, voltage drop, power system sizing (AC and DC), and other industry-standard calculations
Work closely with designers and drafters to develop drawings of high quality both technically and aesthetically
Develop technical equipment and construction specifications, work scopes, estimates, and recommendation reports as needed by the project
Work closely with Engineers to develop foundation and structure drawings, including mounting patterns and equipment layouts.
Develop electrical substation drawings including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, physical layouts, sections and elevations, and other related details and sketches

Must be proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Ability to use drafting software(s) preferred
Ability and willingness to work occasional extra hours to support clients and deadlines, including weekends
Strong technical writing skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Must be self-motivated and poses good time management skills to complete tasks and projects with a moderate amount of supervision
2-5 years experience in electrical design involving power systems.
Experience with Protection and Control design, including familiarity with one-line diagrams of several different station configurations.
