On occasion there may be need to challenge published flood mapping extents, or present flood risk and hydraulic modelling expert testimony at Public Inquiries or at Hearings in support of DCO applications. Previous experience would be advantageous.
Experience of leading/collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of small-large projects (or section of work on larger multi-disciplinary projects)
Excellent working knowledge of analytical skills on hydraulics and hydrology. Excellent GIS skills on data management and excellent working knowledge of QGIS and ArcGIS.
Demonstrable experience in checking work produced by the technical team with a strong knowledge of reviewing/QA procedures on hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and flood risk management projects.
Ability to sign-off detailed project reports and technical notes and an ability to guide junior staff on detailed technical writing.
Project management skills and effective people management experience is essential. Thorough experience in managing resourcing, project budgets, managing proposals and bids, technical and interpersonal support skills and mentorship is essential.
Excellent grasp on technical design procedures and standards, policy, regulatory standards in the UK.
