HVAC - Install Technician - Lead

Description

In this lead position you will oversee residential HVAC installations, coordinate with multiple departments, manage resources such as parts and vehicles, and ensure work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards while mentoring assistants.

• Perform HVAC installations with attention to detail and quality.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize processes and ensure seamless operations.
• Drive and maintain company vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Serve customers by analyzing work orders, following daily travel schedules, listening to customer concerns, performing designated work, and proactively solving problems.
• Cooperate with other departments to continually improve the process and flow of information.
• Request necessary parts and equipment in advance for each installation and verify truck is properly loaded.
• Document work performed in accordance with company procedure.
• Provide guidance to assistants or apprentices and share knowledge.
• Keep personal tools and equipment operable and up to date.
• Maintain current knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all working conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years residential HVAC installation experience.
• Valid local driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in safe use and maintenance of HVAC tools and equipment.
• Pass drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with crew partners.
