Traffic Design Team Lead

Description

• Assist with recruiting efforts for the Orlando office and ELEMENT Traffic Team
• Perform quality control reviews
• Direct and assist traffic analyses using current best practices with a focus on Vision Zero principles and the Safe System approach
• Train and mentor junior team members
• Conduct field reviews
• Direct and assist the production of signing and pavement marking and signal plans in accordance with FDOT standards
• Engage the Orlando Traffic Design Team to support retention and employee satisfaction
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and colleagues
• Support marketing pursuits and business development efforts
• Serve as the leader of the Orlando Traffic Design Team

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida
• Familiarity with the current FDOT Manuals and traffic guidelines
• Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
• At least 5 years of post-registration experience
• Local agency experience is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and/or ORD
