Our Planning Function plays a critical role in delivering certainty and performance across sectors including rail, highways, utilities, nuclear, defence and aviation. It supports projects across these diverse sectors by providing expert schedule management and analysis.
As a Planner, you will help ensure the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes by providing high‑quality scheduling support and analysis.
You will develop and maintain project schedules with clear structure, logic, dependencies and critical path, support planning input across mobilisation and delivery phases, produce schedule updates and variance analysis, assist with scenario modelling and risk identification, maintain baselines and manage change control, present schedule information clearly, build collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients and partners, and apply project controls and contract knowledge to deliver integrated outputs.
The ideal candidate has project‑based planning experience in complex or multidisciplinary environments and is proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Open Plan or Asta Powerproject. You must be able to develop structured schedules with clear logic, possess strong analytical skills, understand baseline management, change control and the interaction of schedule, cost and risk, and have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Awareness of project controls disciplines, lifecycle governance and contract forms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC) is required, with consultancy experience considered advantageous.
This role may require security clearance; employment offers will depend on obtaining the relevant level. The vetting process is delivered by UKSV and may require proof of UK residency for five years. Do not include details of any current or previous security clearance in your application.
