Description

The Fire Extinguisher Service Technician performs required service and maintenance on fire extinguishers in a fixed‑location setting with no travel required. Responsibilities include recharging, testing, six‑ and twelve‑year maintenance, completing documentation, and maintaining shop test equipment while keeping the work area organized and professional.

• Perform fire extinguisher service, including recharging, testing, and six‑ and twelve‑year maintenance.
• Complete required reports, paperwork, and inspection tags for service records.
• Maintain routine/preventive maintenance on extinguisher shop test equipment.
• Keep the work area organized, clean, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Operate hand tools and lift/carry up to 50 lb while performing repetitive motions.
• Submit employment paperwork and timecards promptly.
• Participate in Johnson Controls business meetings and contribute to company growth.
• Drive company vehicle and use provided tools and equipment as needed.

Requirements

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb. Candidates must pass a drug test, background and BMV check, and be able to obtain the necessary licensing after on‑the‑job training. Effective written and verbal communication skills and adherence to PPE and safety protocols are essential.
