- Influence AI strategy, direction and policy.
- Guide AI software development and technical vision across products and solutions.
- Lead cross‑team initiatives with product and data science.
- Design agent workflows, RAG architecture, and custom LLMs for specific domain data.
- Represent GE Vernova as a subject‑matter‑expert with partners, vendors, and customers.
- Apply knowledge of AI trends to develop new practices.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of programming experience, preferably Python; also Java, Node.js or Go.
- Proven experience designing and deploying production GenAI applications using large language models at scale.
- Experience with vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) and embedding model optimization.
- Expertise with multiple LLM providers, AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom) and custom agents.
- Extensive experience leading technical teams, creating strategy, and providing mentorship.
- Expert‑level experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and advanced containerization (EKS).
- Familiarity with responsible AI best practices, including data privacy, bias mitigation, and model monitoring.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, ownership, and drive.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Niskayuna, NY.
- 18+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including architecture design and large‑scale optimization.
- Advanced understanding of enterprise RAG architectures, semantic search optimization, and conversation memory management at massive scale.
- Experience with multi‑modal AI integration, model fine‑tuning, and custom AI model deployment.
- Experience with AI observability tools, cost optimization, and performance monitoring at enterprise scale.
- Experience collaborating across organizations and communicating technology strategy to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with technical strategy development and roadmap planning.

Compensation ranges from $164,400 to $274,000 with discretionary annual bonuses, geographic differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, tuition and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, and generous paid time off.
