In coordination with field supervisors and management, provide guidance for compliance with company safety policies, region and corporate initiatives and local, state and federal regulations, with a strong emphasis on work zone safety, OSHA and DOT compliance.
Assist with field vehicle inspections to identify safety or compliance issues.
Review and track accountability documentation to identify trends for incidents and safety violations, and suggest improvements
Maintain excellent field presence to strengthen the safety culture and monitor performance
Monitor and provide training for OSHA and DOT compliance.
Identify conditions that could lead to incidents, accidents and injuries and recommend preventative action.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety programs for construction, a regulatory government agency or similar organization or significant experience with a strong focus on safety, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough background in work zone safety to safely control high volume traffic through construction sites on freeways, highways and major roadways
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
Certified training or have strong training and presentation experience in both large and small settings.
Skilled communicator both written and orally
Proficient with operation of personal computer, iPhone, iPad with standard applications; Outlook, word spreadsheets, presentations software, etc.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Solid understanding of OSHA regulations for construction and DOT/FMCSA rules
BA/BS degree in health and safety programs for construction and traffic control certification preferred
Construction Safety Experience highly preferred
