The Senior Project Controls Consultant role, based in Birmingham, Manchester or London, is part of the Integrated Programme Controls team and is responsible for managing and delivering project and programme controls, overseeing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting for complex infrastructure programmes.
- Establish and enhance AECOM cost control and management systems.
- Collect daily cost information and manage cost management processes.
- Develop and monitor management budgets, including labour, equipment, material, and subcontract costs.
- Report cost performance against activities, providing metrics and variance analysis.
- Collate quantity tracking data and produce weekly/monthly cost flow and cash flow forecasts.
- Manage project cost forecasts, allocations, and produce reporting dashboards using digital tools.
- Deliver data analysis to support project decisions.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience in multi‑discipline infrastructure projects within a consultancy, with client‑facing responsibilities.
- Strong organisational, coordination and people‑management skills.
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost engineering, change control, risk and opportunity management.
- Proven PMO experience or solid understanding of PMO functions.
- Experience in project controls on large, complex infrastructure or construction projects; professional project management qualification preferred.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI; strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
