As a Team Lead, you will assist the manager in guiding team members, coordinating workflow, and overseeing daily operations, while also performing occasional warehousing tasks at a distribution facility. The position works the second shift, Monday‑Friday, 3:00 pm‑11:00 pm in Clayton, OH, and does not include relocation assistance.
Key duties include operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks, handling material unloading, sorting, picking, packing and shipping, and leading multifunctional meetings to track performance and drive results. You will interface with customers to convey their feedback to logistics, coordinate expedited shipments, lead problem‑solving events, and manage a training matrix to ensure team flexibility, all while meeting safety, quality, velocity and cost goals.
Core competencies include daily safety maintenance and logging, basic warehousing activities, inventory record keeping, customer‑focused service, coaching team members with constructive feedback, and effective verbal and non‑verbal communication to lead process‑improvement dialogues.
The role requires physical capabilities such as lifting up to 49 lb individually (or 70 lb as a team lift), working at heights up to 30 ft, standing for 8+ hours on concrete, and operating in environments with variable temperatures, noise levels up to 85 dB, and occasional ladder use.
