The Role

Overview

Lead day‑to‑day water network maintenance, supervise crew and ensure safe operations.

Tasks

-Help drive improvements by embracing new technology and smarter ways of working. -Support the Team Leader with coordinating daily work and mentoring junior staff. -Carry out new construction works to design specifications, including connections, water mains, meter and blackflow preventor installations. -Carry out maintenance and repairs across Napier’s water supply network, ensuring high standards and timely results.

What You Bring

-A relevant qualification in Water Reticulation, Utilities Maintenance, or equivalent experience in water network construction and maintenance. -Practical, hands-on experience with water supply systems, traffic management, and compliance requirements. -Te Reo Māori language classes -Ka Awatea Cultural Wānanga + NCC Kapa Haka -Strong leadership and communication skills — you’re confident guiding others and promoting safe, efficient work practices.
