Cleaver-Brooks is searching for someone to join our team in Lincoln as a Quality Control Technician - Welding (2nd Shift; 3:30pm - Midnight, M-F) and are specifically looking for someone who has had previous experience in this field. You will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process and compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Education: High School Diploma plus AAS degree in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) or Electronics preferred.
- Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) and IFS software
- Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. 48” high and up to 50 lbs. overhead on an occasional basis.
- High School Diploma plus AAS degree in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, read blueprints, welding symbols and follow ASME Section 1 code required.
- Basic Welding and Metal Fabrication
- Demonstrates enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.
- Will require working in areas up to 25 feet from the ground.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, and prior quality control technician experience preferred.
- Must have excellent Microsoft Office Software/computer skills; ERP/MRP/IFS, Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
- From time to time, slightly disagreeable features; negligible/little or no exposure.
- 1 – 5 years related experience in welding, boiler or related manufacturing industry.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces as narrow as 16” in diameter.
- Visual Weld Examinations (VT)
- Must be able to climb stairs and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures, in welding shop environment; must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside.
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat and climb ladders up to 8 feet high.
- Must be able to differentiate between control wire colors. (yellow, blue, red, etc)
- ASNT SNT - TC - 1A in UT or RT experience a plus.
