The role blends strategic and tactical leadership, driving capacity optimization, supporting approximately 100 employees, and leading the transition from greenfield development through production launch to ongoing daily operations.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the manager oversees material handling, production planning, quality, throughput, assembly, and EHS, focusing on critical performance metrics.
- Lead plant operations for Marley products, overseeing ~100 employees.
- Develop and execute production planning and master scheduling to meet on‑time delivery.
- Manage staffing, deployment, and capacity to align with market expansion.
- Supervise assembly of large cooling products, sheet‑metal fabrication, and heat‑exchanger welding.
- Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance programs.
- Implement and monitor SPX EHS system to improve safety and environmental performance.
- Maintain value‑stream maps and continuous‑improvement roadmaps for each manufacturing cell.
- Drive Lean culture: standard work, OEE, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and analyze production performance reports to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve world‑class standards.
- Achieve financial targets, control operating expenses, and manage capital expenditures.

- Required: 10+ years leading automated sheet‑metal manufacturing operations.
- Experience launching greenfield or brownfield facilities into production.
- Proven ability to build and sustain continuous‑improvement/Lean culture.
- Knowledge of machining, stamping, sheet‑metal fabrication, and large‑product assembly.
- Preferred: project management expertise in matrix organizations.
- Strong people‑leadership skills: motivate, train, coach, and influence.
- Lean/continuous‑improvement training and familiarity with Industry 4.0.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP.
- Bachelor’s in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Willingness to travel to plants across the United States as needed.
