A multidisciplinary design firm offering geospatial, architecture, engineering, and environmental services.
Core duties include troubleshooting aircraft on the ground, performing installations and repairs, diagnosing engine, hydraulic, pneumatic and avionics systems, testing and calibrating electronic equipment, and conducting phase inspections and unscheduled maintenance within compressed turnaround cycles.
The mechanic will also manage ground support equipment and tooling, track inventory and calibration requirements, pack and ship core returns with proper customs paperwork, and maintain accurate hard‑copy logbook entries. Responsibilities extend to owning tasks from initiation through completion and providing recommendations for maintenance and logistical issues.
The role requires independent operation in austere CONUS and OCONUS environments, frequent travel across the U.S. and Hawaii, and the ability to respond on short notice. A daily aircraft status report is required, and the position does not offer visa sponsorship; candidates must already hold work authorization for the job location.
Required qualifications are a high school diploma, a current A&P certificate, 3‑5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license and U.S. passport, and the ability to lift at least 50 lb. Preferred credentials include Inspection Authorization, FCC license, King Air Factory School, Pratt & Whitney training, and various PT6 and avionics troubleshooting certifications. Travel is expected up to 40 % of the time, with flexibility for extra hours.
The position follows a 30‑day on/30‑day off rotation and may involve deployments to austere OCONUS sites. Employees benefit from Woolpert’s Freedom to Work program, an ownership (Principal) program, flexible paid time off, comprehensive health, vision, dental and life insurance, retirement plans, fitness reimbursement, pet insurance, technology stipend, and a robust employee assistance program.
Base pay ranges from $32 to $36.50 USD per hour, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. Woolpert is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to full inclusion and provides accommodations throughout the hiring process upon request.
