Analyze: Perform system disturbance analysis and recommend protective relaying system modifications and/or additions.
Simulate: Model primary and secondary systems in power system simulation software platforms like CAPE or ASPEN.
Collaborate: Interface with manufacturers, professional organizations, regulatory and standardizing bodies (e.g., NPCC, IEEE) to stay conversant with power system protection and control requirements.
Specify: Prepare specifications for purchasing protection, communication equipment, and instrument transformers, and evaluate bid proposals to provide technical recommendations.
