Providing engineering, procurement, and construction services to the energy and industrial sectors.
This hybrid role allows for a mix of work‑from‑home and on‑site collaboration. You will lead a project team of engineers and designers responsible for the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems that support nuclear material processing, waste treatment, storage and disposal, as well as commercial nuclear power plants. The position involves challenging assignments that include designing, investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
Key duties include acting as the Electrical Team Lead, coordinating detailed design phases, and ensuring that installations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements. You will prepare and review detailed electrical calculations such as arc flash, voltage drop, fault current, and lighting, as well as develop master diagrams, schematics, and client‑specific reports. Additional responsibilities involve interfacing with vendors for material specifications, performing independent reviews of others’ work, and mentoring less‑experienced engineers.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain DOE “Q” and government security clearances. A BSEE from an ABET‑accredited program is required (MSEE preferred) and you should have a desire to obtain PE licensure. The role demands at least 15 years of experience in electrical system design for commercial power, DOE, nuclear Navy, or NNSA projects, with 5+ years leading engineering design teams, and expertise in low‑voltage distribution, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
