The position is non‑exempt, meaning you will track time and are eligible for overtime. Core functions include daily reporting to the division or corporate office, using computers to access and input data, and interacting face‑to‑face with customers, coworkers, and managers. You must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb occasionally, and operate a motor vehicle when required.
As a Construction Intern you will be exposed to the new‑home construction process within assigned communities. You will learn project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, subcontractor relations, cost management, permitting, safety, compliance, quality, and the execution of industry‑leading customer service.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be actively enrolled in higher education. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills are required, along with excellent oral and written communication and organizational abilities. A customer‑service mindset, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines are essential.
