The role requires providing courteous and efficient service, handling guest requests, and answering telephone calls within three rings. Staff must be familiar with all room types, rates, and availability, and actively up‑sell when possible.
Employees are expected to take ownership of problems, address guest complaints promptly following established procedures, and document any glitches for supervisor review. They must also ensure guest room security, adhere to emergency and fire protocols, and promote the use of safe‑deposit boxes.
A solid knowledge of hotel facilities, local attractions, and events is essential for providing accurate guest information. Maintaining professional, courteous relationships and effective communication with all hotel personnel is required.
Minimum qualification is a GCE ‘O’ Level, with the ability to work rotating shifts. A positive attitude, outgoing personality, strong public‑relations skills, and prior hospitality experience are desired; familiarity with Opera is an advantage.
