- Technical Enablement & Application Engineering: Provide technical consultation to OEMs, including installation audits, commissioning oversight, and application-specific engineering support. Ensure all solutions comply with Volvo Penta’s technical certification standards
- Strategic Growth: Define and execute a data-driven business strategy targeting sustainable, profitable growth across new engine sales and aftermarket solutions. Leverage market segmentation and lifecycle value analysis to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Market Insight: Conduct continuous market surveillance and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends, technology shifts, and whitespace opportunities. Translate insights into actionable commercial strategies and product positioning.
- Sales & Marketing: Develop and deploy targeted go-to-market plans, including account-based sales strategies and digital marketing campaigns, to accelerate customer acquisition and retention.
- Customer Engagement: Cultivate strategic partnerships with key OEMs and end users by aligning Volvo Penta’s value proposition with customer roadmaps. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between sales, engineering, and product development teams to co-create long-term solutions.

- Familiarity with CRM systems and tools for tracking account performance.
- An understanding of SMT’s corporate values, vision, and customer needs.
- Competence in building and maintaining high-level relationships with OEMs, dealers, and end users.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Knowledge of SMT GB’s products and offerings within the Penta market.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- A solid understanding of financial principles, driving budget management.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Proven experience in account management or sales, particularly in the construction or heavy machinery sector.
- Familiarity with OEM integration processes and certified installation standards.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within accounts.
- Understanding of Volvo Penta’s engine systems, power solutions, and aftermarket offerings.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance on installation, commissioning, and application engineering.
- Previous experience representing a company at industry events and exhibitions.
