Description

Leasing Associates respond to inquiries, schedule tours, qualify prospects, process applications, show apartments, close sales, prepare move‑ins, and ensure resident satisfaction. They also maintain a social‑media presence, use marketing strategies within budget, plan resident events, complete lease paperwork, attend goal‑setting meetings, and coordinate with maintenance to resolve service requests.

• Respond to telephone and internet inquiries, schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
• Greet and qualify prospects using guest cards in Lead Management Software; assist with applications and deposits while adhering to Fair Housing.
• Maintain an updated availability report, process applications with credit checks and rental‑history verification, and submit for Community Manager approval.
• Follow up with applicants on status and obtain new resident signatures on paperwork.
• Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑ins, and provide community orientation.
• Maintain an active social‑media presence for the property to boost visibility and engagement.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly addressing complaints, questions, and service requests.
• Conduct all functions necessary to close sales, including lead generation, tours, show‑room maintenance, and follow‑up.
• Utilize marketing strategies within budget and plan to drive traffic (competitive rates, referrals, promotions, outreach).
• Plan and host resident events (parties, contests) and attend after‑hours functions as needed.
• Complete lease, move‑in, and check‑out paperwork promptly during peak periods.
• Attend weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure timely resident service request resolution.

Requirements

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, and be proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.

The role may require extended sitting, climbing stairs, reading documents and screens, hearing verbal communications, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 lb. Work is primarily in an office setting but may involve time outdoors and exposure to bright lights, noise, and distractions.
