As a Digital Forensic Investigator, you will play a critical role in identifying, acquiring, analysing, and presenting electronic evidence across a wide range of devices and cases. From criminal investigations to civil litigation, your findings will have real-world implications, supporting justice and organisational security.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in ongoing technical development.
- Conduct forensic acquisition, analysis, and reporting on digital evidence (computers, mobile devices, etc.).
- Support eDiscovery and Cyber Security services as needed.
- Provide clear and professional expert witness testimony.
- Ensure chain-of-custody and evidential integrity is maintained throughout investigations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and legal professionals.
- Compile comprehensive technical reports suitable for court.
- Uphold high standards in security, documentation, and quality assurance.

Please note: This role is not suitable for recent graduates. A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in digital forensics (public or private sector) is required.
You'll be based in a cutting-edge ISO 17025 accredited forensic laboratory, with occasional travel and on-site work when required.
Due to the nature of this work, NPPV3 and SC (Security Check) clearance are mandatory. To be eligible, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for at least 5 years. Exceptions may apply for overseas service with HM Government.
- Proven knowledge of forensic principles, ISO 17025, and ACPO guidelines.
- Use tools like EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, NUIX, Magnet Axiom, Cellebrite UFED, MSAB XRY.
- Intermediate-level training in one or more major forensic software platforms.
- Willingness to occasionally work outside normal hours or travel as required.
- Experience working under pressure with attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in digital forensics investigations.
