The Control Room Operator role involves activities within Vanderlande’s Operations & Maintenance control room, including SCADA and VIBES operations. The scope covers control room activities and communication between operations and maintenance teams, coordinating flight and BHS information.
Responsibilities include coordinating and managing SCADA and VIBES information and incidents, defining and administrating errors, logging baggage incidents, and supporting mechanical and electrical technicians, product engineers, and manual‑intervention activities throughout the shift. The operator must actively ensure the restart and operational continuity of the BHS system and align airline information with BHS system design.
The role operates on a shift pattern with daily engagement with mechanical and electrical technician colleagues to address issues. The operator provides guidance on priorities, identifies problems, suggests improvements, and works independently on recurring technical and operational tasks as part of the Operations & Maintenance team.
Candidates must have PC knowledge of control systems and a solid technical background, including the ability to read and interpret technical layout drawings of a BHS system. Proficiency in English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under stress while maintaining an overview in a hectic environment are essential.
