Sales Representative – Construction
High Rise Fire And Security/Scutum Group
Leading provider of fire alarm, life‑safety & security systems, inspections and monitoring services.
Sell fire alarm and ARCS solutions, build client relationships, and meet sales targets.
Identify, qualify and assess Client needs to determine suitable products and services.
Actively pursue fire alarm system, Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems (ARCS) sales from potential Clients in the small commercial and residential construction industry to meet sales targets.
Actively pursue diverse revenue channels from existing Client base and develop new territories.
Develop, and implement sales strategies; negotiate and close profitable projects.
Build trust and rapport with existing and potential Clients.
Monitor Client communication and promptly responding to calls and emails.
Collaborate with a variety of different departments, such as the Accounting, Service and Project Operations departments and/or other stakeholders to better serve the Clients' needs.
Prepare bi-weekly sales activity report, semi-annual and annual goal plans.
Communicate to Sell Training Program
Prepare quote packages and collaterals to provide integrated solutions to help organizations manage their life safety and ARCS needs.
Develop and build a book of business using appropriate prospecting strategies with mostly Electrical Contractors

Judgment and Decision Making
Proficient knowledge of the PARTNER Selling sales process
Ability to work well under pressure while preparing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to read and interpret life safety systems blueprints and schematics, sequence of operation, job specifications
Ability to prospect, assess needs, articulate the HRF value proposition and solutions, negotiate and persuade
Good understanding and application of NYC Building codes and NFPA fire alarm codes
Two Year Technical Degree or an equivalent of industry experience in life safety and/or electronic security systems required
Good knowledge of EST fire alarm and ARCS systems products, operation, and functionality
Good knowledge of value engineering projects

Good knowledge of the commercial and residential industry sector
Client Service Focus and Effective Communication
Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Functional proficiency in computer office applications including System Manager, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
