Mixes, places, transports, and tamps concrete.
Cuts, shapes, threads, connects and disconnects pipe and conduit.
Removes, transports, and stores materials.

Performs site cleanup, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a clean job site upon completion of work.
Selects, measures, saws and nails lumber and assists in the construction of forms for pads, foundations, and walls.
Removes forms and cleans lumber.
Operates air hammers, power equipment, and other construction tools.
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Provides back-up coverage to assigned areas as needed and promotes an SCE safety conscious work environment.

Experience with rough carpentry, framing and general construction support tasks.
Position will require up to 100% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
Ability to perform strenuous manual labor.
This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: EEI TECH (Test #5108) and Structural Mechanical Physical Performance Test (Test #4024). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
Posses a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Experience with civil construction, such as grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
Experience using hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
Experience with concrete installation, including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing.
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew and follow detailed instructions.
Experience with construction or maintenance of substations or utility infrastructure.

The primary work location for this position is Alhambra. However, the successful candidate will travel an extended amount of time out in the SCE service territory.
