Assign and review the work of less experienced engineers, technicians and support staff
Help write technical reports
Ensure work complies with established budgets, schedules, estimates and procedures
Help commission and troubleshoot systems
Provide recommendations on establishing standards and other practical applications
Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other methods in compliance with BBA’s quality system requirements
Perform design calculations and ensure that plans meet guidelines as well as code requirements and other regulations
Lead and participate in designing plans, specifications and details based on guidelines from a senior engineer
Help draft proposals
Perform technical information surveys
Coordinate the work of drafters or other team members
Plan, organize, lead and coordinate projects
Requirements
3+ years

At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferrably in heavy industrial projects
Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Navisworks applications
Rigorous and ethical
Asset: experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemicals, energy, and more)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, like Excel, and other applications, databases and interfaces
University degree in mechanical engineering and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
Available for short-term work assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs
Ability to look beyond established standards
Asset: knowledge of SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, ANSYS and Fathom applications
