Lead material testing & modeling for gas/steam turbines at Siemens Energy.

PhD or Master of Science in materials science, solid state physics or similar field; several years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Experience of collaborating in multidisciplinary research networks / project consortia & very good project management skills
Excellent team skills with effective communication & interpersonal skills to blend in a multicultural and cross-organizational team; experience in handling multiple and urgent topics at the same time & setting priorities
Understanding of gas turbine and steam turbine technology, Experience in programming (e.g. Python, R, VBA), data analysis and basic FEA modelling
Deep understanding of materials science (e.g. alloy design, microstructural evolution, deformation mechanisms for metallic materials) & Deep knowledge of materials mechanics and failure mechanisms and models; Significant knowledge of steels and nickel-base alloys
