The Role

Overview

Operate, maintain and repair central heating/cooling plants, substation and pumps

Tasks

-Performs maintenance and repairs Plant equipment (Boilers, controls, chillers, pumps, HVAC, steam systems, Pump House equipment, Electrical Substation, Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), etc.) -Carrying out operations and startup procedures of the Central Plants, Pump House, electrical Substation and their preventive maintenance, analyses and make the necessary recommendations and adjustments. -Maintain a high standard of the water treatment. -Operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment (including district heating and cooling); -Follow up on work with external contractors and always maintain EQUANS Health & Safety Standards. -Test Plant equipment; maintain and clean machinery, equipment and building during operations. -Perform daily rounds and inspections, maintain energy efficiency by recording and analyzing energy consumption. -Service-oriented, courteous; Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.

What You Bring

-Certificate as a stationary machinery mechanic: Class 3 in heating, Class A in refrigeration; -Autonomy; Able to work independently and as part of a team. -Energy efficiency solutions and execution of decarbonization roadmaps; -Knowledge of control system operations; -Dynamism, team spirit, and leadership; -Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings -Prioritizes a good working relationship and client satisfaction. -Building automation and systems; -Authorized to work in Canada -Eligibility to obtain a Level II security clearance from the federal government. -Good judgment, attention to detail; -Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a stationary equipment mechanic.
