  • Lead preconstruction efforts for high-value projects ($100M+), including hospitals, schools, and complex high-rise buildings (20+ floors), from conceptual design through construction documents.
  • Landmark Projects: Lead preconstruction for transformative hospital, school, and high-rise projects that redefine South Florida’s infrastructure and skyline.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive preconstruction plans, including cost estimates, budgets, schedules, and phasing strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with project executives, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to refine designs, resolve constructability issues, and ensure feasibility.
  • Oversee the preparation of bid packages, including scope sheets, qualifications, and exclusions, for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Perform detailed cost analyses, value engineering, and constructability reviews to optimize project budgets and mitigate risks.
  • Present detailed preconstruction reports and cost models to clients and senior leadership, fostering trust and transparency.
  • Mentor and guide preconstruction team members, including estimators and coordinators, to build a high-performing department.
  • Ensure compliance with Broward, Palm Beach and Miami Dade County building codes, Florida Department of Education standards (for schools), and other relevant regulations.
  • Utilize advanced preconstruction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Timberline, On-Screen Takeoff) to streamline estimating, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Navigate Broward, Palm Beach and Miami Dade County's permitting processes, zoning regulations, and coastal construction challenges (e.g., hurricane preparedness) to minimize delays.

  • Strong knowledge of Broward, Palm Beach and Miami Dade County building codes, Florida educational facility standards, ACI, AISC, and other relevant regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading preconstruction for at least 3 high-value projects (e.g., hospitals, schools, or high-rise buildings, $100M+ each), including at least one high-rise project (20+ floors).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in construction preconstruction or estimating, with at least 7 years in a leadership role (e.g., Preconstruction Manager, Senior Estimator) for a general contractor.
  • Expertise in navigating Fort Lauderdale’s regulatory environment, including fast-track permitting and coastal construction challenges.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a client-focused approach to preconstruction planning.
  • Proficiency in preconstruction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Timberline, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred).
  • Experience leading preconstruction for mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospitals with advanced MEP systems, schools with stringent safety standards, or luxury high-rise condominiums).
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, Envision).
  • Proven expertise in cost estimation, value engineering, and scheduling for complex healthcare, educational, or high-rise residential projects.
  • Established relationships with South Florida subcontractors, suppliers, and architects preferred.
  • Proven ability to secure repeat business through strong client relationships and accurate preconstruction deliverables.
  • Certifications such as CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred.
