The Mobile Engineer operates, inspects, and maintains HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operation and maximize equipment life expectancy. The role ensures energy‑efficient, safe maintenance while minimizing downtime through proactive repairs and record‑keeping of past operating experiences. It also includes inspections and repairs of interior and exterior property areas such as walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
Key responsibilities include performing preventive and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems; maintaining and repairing HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building interior/exterior components; conducting facility inspections and due‑diligence reporting; responding to emergencies; preparing management summary reports with findings and recommendations; becoming familiar with building automation, fire/life‑safety, and other equipment; complying with safety procedures and hazard mitigation; adhering to state, county, and city codes; supporting after‑hours building activities; attending training seminars; and handling other tasks typical of a Mobile Engineer.
Candidates must hold a valid state driver’s license and Universal CFC recovery certification, and have at least four years of technical experience in building engineering with strong backgrounds in HVAC, plumbing, electrical repair, and system design. The role requires the ability to lift up to 80 lb, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and be available for on‑call duties and overtime. Applicants must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening, be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and the position does not provide visa sponsorship.
The estimated compensation range is $62,400 – $72,800 per year, with actual packages based on qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal factors. The position is remote, covering Cocoa, Melbourne, and Titusville, FL.
