Role

What you would be doing

planned maintenance

reactive maintenance

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with contractual requirements.
Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), policies, and procedures.
Maintain plant and equipment in accordance with O&M manuals, industry best practices, and relevant legislation.
Perform ad-hoc duties as required during your shift.
Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed timeframes, completing all necessary documentation.
Maintain equipment supported by sound diagnostic and problem solving skills, raising issues as required to the Engineering Supervisor & Helpdesk on a timely basis.
Operational delivery of engineering services and documentation.
Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times.
Report any issues or training needs to your Line Supervisor or Manager.
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
Maintain a high level of communication with Helpdesk, Engineering Supervisor & Manager at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in plant rooms and service enclosures.
Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety matters.

Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition or City & Guilds 2391.
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer awareness.
Willingness to develop skills in other areas of building services.
Proven experience in mechanical/electrical and/or multi-disciplinary maintenance.
A full UK driving licence.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
Eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearance.
Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Competent IT skills, including use of a handheld device or tablet.
Work safely and professionally at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Ability to work on own initiative and deliver high-quality service.
Technical expertise in Electrical/Mechanical systems and compliance.
Operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification.
