The Certification Center Officer role in SGS UAE is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely issuance of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) in line with the productivity and quality targets of the Certification Center.
Key duties include assessing product and exporter risk levels, identifying essential product requirements and applicable standards according to Business Rules, Conformity Assessment Instructions, and related references; providing quality‑based technical opinions on product standards, classification and certification; and assisting in resolving standards, classification, and certification cases or inquiries using technical expertise on specific goods.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree, preferably a bachelor’s in chemistry, and has either two years of experience in conformity assessment or four years in testing, calibration, inspection, or audit within a relevant field. They should possess strong knowledge of product design, manufacturing, testing, research, and specifications, as well as familiarity with industrial standardization (ISO, IEC, EN, ANSI, ASTM) and quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or ISO/TS 16949.
