Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician

Overview

Design and layout fire sprinkler systems, perform calculations, create CAD/BIM drawings.

Tasks

-Design and structure fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, foam, etc.) in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. -Support inspections, revisions, and special hazard systems as needed. -Perform hydraulic calculations and size system components, including pipes, valves, pumps, and sprinkler heads. -Collaborate with our fabrication and installation teams to execute your designs in the field. -Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and multiple trades to ensure seamless integration. -Develop detailed CAD/BIM drawings and submittal packages for permitting and approvals.

If you’re an experienced Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician looking for stability, growth, and the chance to do meaningful work that protects lives and property—we’d love to talk with you. -Ability to handle complex projects and tight deadlines while working both collaboratively as part of a team and with minimal supervision. -Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, BIM (experience with multiple programs preferred but we will not rule out expertise on single or fewer programs). -Strong knowledge of NFPA and local building/fire codes. -5-10 years’ related experience preferred, but candidates with more or less may be considered depending on the position. -NICET certification (preferred); willingness to pursue if not already certified.
