Junior Legal and Compliance Officer

The successful candidate prepares first draft correspondence and standard documents, compiles application and renewal packs, tracks key dates and approval conditions, and escalates risks with adequate lead time. The role demands excellent coordination with internal stakeholders in Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, Marketing, and Facilities, and effective liaison with external authorities, landlords, notaries, and IP agents to ensure accurate filings and auditable records. The candidate upholds sound ethics and confidentiality, is familiar with mainland and free zone processes, maintains high standards of record keeping, and pursues continuous improvement aligned to company policies and applicable UAE requirements.

A high level of risk awareness, with the ability to escalate issues promptly and contribute to compliance reporting, is expected. Above all, the candidate must uphold high standards of professional ethics, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate audit readiness in all aspects of their work.

The candidate should be capable of drafting and reviewing contracts using approved templates, with an emphasis on structured issue-spotting. Proficiency in document management is essential, including version control, preparation of execution packs, and maintaining organized, auditable records. Experience in handling permit and licensing filings, renewals, and ensuring compliance with strict deadlines is necessary. The role also demands strong communication skills for effective coordination with both internal teams and external authorities.

We are seeking an experienced and results driven Junior Legal and Compliance Officer to support a high performing Legal and Compliance function. The role is responsible for disciplined legal administration, first line compliance monitoring, and the timely coordination of regulatory requirements across the group. Core scope includes maintaining and updating registers for internal policies, operational permits and approvals with the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, and the Department of Economy and Tourism, together with leases and Ejari, trade licenses, intellectual property records, and the contracts register.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field, with a paralegal certification considered an added advantage. They must have a minimum of three years’ experience in legal administration and compliance, with a strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks, including both mainland and free zone procedures for trade licenses, permits, and company secretarial matters. The role requires experience in contract administration, particularly in managing basic templates and overseeing document control processes. Familiarity with trademark procedures and maintaining related records is also desirable.

The role maintains complete and current registers for policies, permits, licenses, leases, intellectual property, and contracts, supports adherence to internal governance, produces timely reports and dashboards, and ensures readiness for audit.
