  • Supervises and monitors progress and quality of work
  • Must abide by all environmental laws and regulations to protect and maintain work areas affected by operation
  • Supervise and manage a 5-7 person crew performing excavation, shoring and pipe installation operations according to the owner’s specifications, and within the project's schedule and budget
  • Comply with all Zachry safety policies and guidelines
  • Responsible for planning, production, and safety of crew
  • Assist project management in assuring that all work meets project plans and specifications
  • Manage daily timekeeping logs, equipment logs, as well as complete daily reports and daily diaries

  • Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least ten hours/day
  • Knowledge of dirt excavations, soil mechanics, shoring, and trench boxes.
  • Ability to operate iPad for mobile timecard and accurate quantity tracking
  • Dependable, self-motivated and task oriented
  • Must have Class C Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of earthwork equipment operating capabilities and possess the ability to train employees.
  • Prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with inspectors, customers, managers, subcontractors, and employees to maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Must be able to review construction plans and specifications to correctly and efficiently construct a quality project
  • 5+ years construction experience supervising crews
  • Must be capable of managing trenching and pipe or conduit installation
