Work Science, one of Australia’s highly regarded safety and risk management consultancies is seeking a Hazmat & Hygiene Consultant to support the delivery of our pipeline of projects.

• Have opportunities to become familiar with a diverse variety of occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, and safety work.
• Curious, inquisitive, adaptable to change and capable to thrive in a commercial consulting environment
• NATA accredited laboratory asbestos fibre counter / Bulk ID experience desirable
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel
• Tenacious, resourceful and willing to work outside comfort zones to learn and grow
• Minimum Provisional Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (MAIOH), or working towards membership.
• Licensed Asbestos Assessor qualification (or ability to obtain)
• Good technical writing and systems documentation skills with strong attention to detail
• 1 - 3 years’ experience delighting your clients, colleagues and onlookers in a technical asbestos, hazardous materials or occupational hygiene role
• Pragmatic problem solver
• Degree level qualification in occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, science or related field
