In this role you will lead the development of wastewater models, manage key project aspects, and work closely with clients to expand Arcadis’s project portfolio through strategic interactions. Collaboration, proactive problem‑solving, and creative thinking are central to the team’s approach.
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across a wide range of wastewater infrastructure and non‑infrastructure modelling projects, guiding them from initial feasibility through detailed design.
- Deliver wastewater infrastructure and non‑infrastructure modelling projects of varying scales.
- Conduct technical reviews, oversee model build, verification of sewer networks and survey specifications.
- Develop strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and reduce CSO spills.
- Support designers during concept, outline and detailed design stages.
- Review and enhance technical reports and presentations to maintain high quality.
- Resolve modelling challenges and contribute to team technical expertise.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with standards and client requirements.
- Communicate model outputs clearly to clients and address their questions.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Assist in bid preparation, including narratives, cost estimates and schedules.
- Coordinate resource allocation, quality assurance, subcontractor interactions and client feedback.
- Collaborate with specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines.
- Liaise with Project Director/Manager and client to facilitate project progress.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and professional development.

- 7–12 years of experience with a Master’s in Water Resources Management, Environment, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure and non‑infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM; HADES knowledge advantageous.
- Competence with GIS software packages.
- Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
- Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures.
- Strong report‑writing and spreadsheet‑based data‑analysis skills.
- Coding experience is desirable.
- Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management.
