The Concrete Finisher JM is tasked with levelling freshly poured concrete, grout, and similar products on floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, and sidewalks. The role requires interpreting measuring tools, project plans, and plant coordinates, as well as performing concrete placement, vibration, finishing, repair, and related tasks using hand and power tools.
- Level freshly poured concrete, grout, and similar materials on various surfaces.
- Read and interpret measuring tools, project plans, blueprints, and plant coordinates.
- Place, vibrate, finish, repair, and patch concrete in all applications.
- Prepare and install grout for steel, equipment, and related components.
- Assist rodbusters and other concrete workers; operate hand and power tools, including power trowels and vibrators.
- Inspect finished concrete work and monitor temperature effects.
- Position molds and forms, apply hardening agents, sealants, and curing compounds.
- Waterproof, damp‑proof, and restore concrete surfaces; install anchor bolts and steel plates.
- Mix, pour, saw‑cut, and finish concrete to achieve specified finishes.
- Direct equipment drivers, trucks, and small crew members; mentor journeymen and helpers.
- Support project tasks as assigned, work under production schedule pressure, and meet accuracy standards.
- Communicate with foreman regarding problems, material needs, or hazards; perform duties safely.

The position involves physically demanding work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and weather conditions, requiring strength to lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, and navigate confined or uneven areas while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Minimum four years of journeyman experience; Master journeyman requires NCCER‑type certification.
- Knowledge of MIC health and safety programs; participate in daily toolbox meetings and follow all OSHA and company regulations.
- Maintain physical stamina for 12‑hour shifts, lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, and use required personal protective equipment.
Benefits
