This role will work closely with Project Directors and Project Leads.
We are looking for someone to work as part of our Central and North project accounting team covering a period of maternity leave. Acting as first finance partnering support and a key member of the project team you will promote the importance of quality project data. Ensuring project margins and revenues are stated correctly alongside ensuring our client requirements are met for billing purposes.
- Maintain project and master fee drawdowns for tracking scheduled invoicing on active projects.
- Ensure additional fee awards are updated on systems along with subsequent costs and correct auditable documentation.
- Attend meetings with project leads and project directors to review project billing drawdowns and project data for the purposes of revenue recognition.
- Process monthly invoices in line with drawdowns along with detailed billing schedules based on client requirements.
- Resolve any data inconsistencies identified in weekly project reporting.
- Support financial accounting team to obtain project financial information and documentation for annual financial audit.
- Co-Ordinate project leads completion of resource plans and forecast costs to facilitate secured forecast.
- Co-Ordinate data recorded for pipeline and enquires for monthly forecast.
- Maintain sub-consultancy invoices logs comparing PO’s to invoices received where appropriate.
- Use internal finance systems and processes to establish and maintain project data.
- Liaise with Credit Control team for new and reactivated client requests.

The role can be based in either Manchester or Birmingham, although please note if the latter travel to Manchester will be required.
Manchester (preferred) or Birmingham (travel to the Manchester office once a week).
- Experience in sales ledger and managing data.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential, with a good team spirit.
- Good attention to detail and able to work through a task in a methodical way.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to gain respect quickly with individuals at all levels.
- A people person, confident approaching and connecting with stakeholders in a pro-active way.
- You’ll be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.
