Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician
Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue
Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
Install anti-virus software
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner
Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution
Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users
Requirements

Good understanding of cell phones, phone systems, tablets, including iPAD and Surface
A+ Certification or ability to obtain in 6 months
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience
Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, and printers
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
Extensive experience with audio/visual systems including Polycom
May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Mac, PC, and Linux
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Knowledge of Database languages, including SQL
