Design Building Automation Systems as per contract plans and specifications, including damper schedule, valve schedules, sequence of operations, bill of materials, and etc.
Uphold company standards, policies and procedures. Communicate and share resources to provide support to construction team and service team.
Prepares submittal documents, as-builts, commission documents, and operation and maintenance manuals.
Prepares panel drawings for CSA panel shops.
Assist the project team, service team, and sales team regarding all BAS related work. This to include, but not limited to proposals, studies, estimates, implementation, commissioning, etc. as required.
Assist with site commissioning under the supervision of a BAS Technician 3 or 4.
Assist with project and service group documentation and sales proposal.
Review project contract plans and specifications, sales estimates and take-off sheets.

Ability to perform routine tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Four-year college/university degree, two-year/three-year post-secondary engineering technology or applied science program, and/or equivalent trade/field experience and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio or Script programming software.
Learn and demonstrate thorough understanding of Ainsworth’s H&S Policy.
Must be willingness to work in an office environment and to keep work area clean and tidy; light physical duties may be assigned
Fluent in English – both written and oral. The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
Benefits
Valid Driver’s license and the ability to be insured by Ainsworth; some travel may be requested from time to time. Ainsworth will reimburse travel expenses including mileage for driving.
